Study on mortality in rural areas during heat waves

Heat waves pose a long-term health risk. There are studies that focus on the number of deaths due to high temperatures in urban areas. However, these studies paid less attention to the rural parts of the country. Therefore, OPERANDUM conducted a study focusing on two rural areas in the United Kingdom. The results show the urgency of taking action global warming: more people are likely to die prematurely in extreme temperatures.
